Everything at the glamping
Heated swimming pool
The enclosed, heated swimming pool measuring 6 by 12 metres slopes gradually from 30 to 140 centimetres: the little ones play with watering cans on the shallow end, while the older kids practise their breaststroke. Sun loungers are arranged around the pool. Open from early May to October, from around 9am to 10pm.
Bistrot La Famille
During peak season, you'll eat on the Place six evenings a week: Saturday the welcome BBQ, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday à la carte with a children's menu at 6pm, Friday pizza. Fresh bread rolls are available every morning from 8am, and coffee, draught beer, soft drinks and ice cream are available all day.
Activities on and around the grounds
Craft activities twice a week, kids' disco on Fridays (a pool disco when the weather's warm) and a children's film during the parents' dinner. Bonny takes the kids along on the Little Walk with our Dog. Around the glamping site you'll find a geocache route, a blue walking route and ATB routes.
De Place: play and meet
The open barn of over 300 m² is the heart of the glamping site: a mega playpen, ball pit, play castle, giant Lego, table football and ping-pong, and cupboards full of games and books. Outside, there's a large sandpit, play equipment under the plane trees, a trampoline and a mini climbing forest.
Private bathroom and comfort
Each safari tent has its own bathroom of around 9 m² in the bathroom building: a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin, changing table and a little potty for the little ones, with toilet paper and soap provided. There's also free wifi across the whole site, a laundry service and a charging point in the car park.
Reception and service
In the morning, you can collect your ordered rolls at reception and hand in dinners and laundry. Everything you set up on-site at your accommodation, you settle up at the end. Trolleys are ready at the car park for your luggage; the site itself is car-free. You can also arrange massages here.

Parents have a holiday here too
Place de la Famille is a kleinschalig glamping site in the Périgord Noir, set rurally within a rolling landscape of woodland, walnut plantations and meadows. Fifteen accommodations in total: thirteen safari lodge tents across two fields and two gîtes. The grounds are car-free and so easy to navigate that children walk to the playground, the sandpit and the ball pit on their own.
You barely need to bring anything. The tents are furnished from paring knife to fleece blanket and from cheese slicer to torch, the beds are made up and the fridge is switched on. For the little ones, a cot, high chair and changing table are ready and waiting, and a rocker, buggy and baby carrier are available to borrow.
Through the children, you quickly get chatting with other parents, especially if you join the BBQ on arrival day. For those who prefer to stay active: a quarter of the parents bring along a mountain bike, road bike or running shoes, and Yvo goes for a run at least once a week with anyone who wants to join.

Had a brilliant time at this family campsite. We stayed in a safari tent, which was really well equipped. At night, you had a view of an immense starry sky from your terrace.
The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Fun activities were also organised for the children. The swimming pool was also great fun for the children.
Nearby there were lovely castles, small towns and caves. Due to the extreme temperatures, we didn't visit many of them, but that's just a reason to come back again!

What a wonderful week we had at Place de la Famille. Still that feeling of camping, but with every comfort provided. The private bathroom is excellent, as are the games and play facilities, the bread service and, not to forget, the food. Such a joy to indulge when you don't have to cook! Our son, who's almost 5, had the time of his life, and the swimming pool also added to the ultimate holiday feeling. Plenty to experience in the area, and you soon get used to the winding roads 😉 We'll certainly be back!☀️

We had a wonderful time at this campsite with our family of four (two adults, a 4-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy). The safari tents had every comfort, the campsite is cosy and easy to navigate, and what we really loved was the private bathroom in the shower building. You really get that camping feeling, but with a little extra comfort. Just lovely with young children (in our opinion ;-)).
The campsite has lots of facilities for children, such as a swimming pool, a playground and a space where the little ones can play (a sort of mini monkey town). You quickly meet other young parents, which is great fun. There's also an entertainment programme, such as arts and crafts and a mini disco. Bonny and Ivo also cook several times a week, which we found really nice. After a long, hot day, you can simply sit down and enjoy a meal. Ideal! Communication with Bonny and Ivo was always very pleasant, and they are extremely hospitable. We certainly wouldn't rule out booking a holiday here again, it's definitely worth recommending!

We had a wonderful holiday in June 2025 with our two boys, aged 1 and 3. It's an ideal spot with (young) children, as there's really already enough entertainment right on the campsite itself, thanks to the swimming pool, lots of greenery and the large play barn. All the toys (including little bikes and the like) are for shared use, and there are even toys in the tent. We were very pleased with the spacious private bathroom in a separate building. All in all, plenty of reasons to come back.

Had a really lovely holiday with Bonnie and Ivo. The children had a wonderful time there, a large site, well-equipped tents with everything you need. Always happy to help with questions or tips for fun outings. Visiting little towns went without any moaning from our 3 children thanks to the fun treasure hunts :)
